法國(guó)國(guó)家玻璃和陶瓷實(shí)驗(yàn)室主任章向華教授到北理工做學(xué)術(shù)報(bào)告


  

  2017年5月11日,應(yīng)北京理工大學(xué)材料學(xué)院沖擊環(huán)境材料技術(shù)國(guó)家級(jí)重點(diǎn)實(shí)驗(yàn)邀請(qǐng),法國(guó)雷恩大學(xué)--法國(guó)國(guó)家研究中心玻璃和陶瓷實(shí)驗(yàn)室主任章向華教授(法國(guó)國(guó)家科研中心一級(jí)主任研究員)訪問(wèn)材料學(xué)院,并做了題目為“Glass and ceramics for imaging beyond the visible”的學(xué)術(shù)報(bào)告。北京理工大學(xué)材料學(xué)院院長(zhǎng)助理張加濤教授,重點(diǎn)實(shí)驗(yàn)室朱時(shí)珍教授以及學(xué)院和實(shí)驗(yàn)室其他老師和研究生們參加了此次報(bào)告會(huì)。

  

  章向華教授在國(guó)際多種專業(yè)雜志上發(fā)表科技論文280篇,在紅外玻璃研究與開(kāi)發(fā)方面獲得16項(xiàng)專利,被邀請(qǐng)?jiān)?0次國(guó)際學(xué)術(shù)會(huì)議上作特邀報(bào)告。獲得法蘭西科學(xué)院院士評(píng)選的 EADS(空客集團(tuán)) 大獎(jiǎng),法蘭西科學(xué)院院士評(píng)選 Ivan Peches 大獎(jiǎng),促進(jìn)科技研究中法協(xié)會(huì)JX International 科技應(yīng)用獎(jiǎng),法國(guó)國(guó)防部“國(guó)防革新”獎(jiǎng),IBM青年科學(xué)家獎(jiǎng)等。

  

  報(bào)告中,章向華教授詳細(xì)地介紹了紅外玻璃和陶瓷研究及在在紅外成像方面的應(yīng)用,報(bào)告深入淺出,并與在座的師生展開(kāi)廣泛而深入的交流,大家爭(zhēng)相提問(wèn),現(xiàn)場(chǎng)氣氛熱烈。最后北京理工大學(xué)材料學(xué)院向章向華教授贈(zèng)予紀(jì)念品,全體師生合影留念。此次報(bào)告圓滿完成。

  報(bào)告摘要: The visible range is a small part of the electromagnetic spectrum. Imaging beyond this range, in the infrared region for example, can give much additional information. There are however very few materials transparent in the 8-12 μm region, which is the most used window for thermal imaging (night vision) as it corresponds to the maximum emission of bodies at room temperature. Germanium, a rare and expensive element, has very interesting optical properties with very high refractive index and very low chromatic dispersion between 8-12 μm. Another mostly used material is the polycrystalline ZnSe that is produced with the long and expensive CVD (Chemical Vapour Deposition) technique.

  Chalcogenide glasses are glasses based on sulfur, selenium and tellurium. They have been intensively studied mainly due to its large optical transmission window from the visible to  far infrared region. Sulfide glasses are typically transparent from 0.5 μm to 11 μm, selenide glasses from 1 μm to 14 μm and telluride glasses from 2 μm to 18 μm. Potential and current applications include optics for night vision, infrared laser power delivery, remote chemical and biological sensing. The main advantage of these glasses, compared to germanium and ZnSe is the possibility of obtaining glass fibres and complex optical components by moulding thanks to their vitreous nature Sulfide ceramics present much better mechanical and thermal resistance. They are especially useful in harsh environment where resistance to high temperature or/and erosion is needed.

  The preparation, properties and applications of these infrared transmitting materials will be discussed.
